A National Call to Honour the 60th Anniversary of the Rebirth of the State of Israel.

Heads of major Christian and Jewish organizations are calling for leaders in every city in Canada to host a celebration honouring Israel’s 60th Independence Day. The week of May 4th, 2008, will be a special time in history reflecting on the miraculous rebirth of the State of Israel..
The Nation of Israel has never ceased to exist in over 3,000 years! However, in C.E. 70, the Roman Emperor, Titus, overthrew the Kingdom of Israel. One thousand, eight hundred and seventy-eight years later the State of Israel was reconstituted.
We are making this call on the historic day of November 29th, 2007, the Sixtieth Anniversary of the passing of United Nations Resolution 181, which partitioned the Land, and set the stage for the establishment of the State of Israel the following May, in 1948.
It is our hope that Christians and Jews will gather together in every city of Canada to mark this great Anniversary this coming May
